Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

Hi - I have one of the earliest P6's (waited over a year for delivery after the original announcement, way back when) and it was eventually (Korg factory) MIDI retrofitted. I have also rescued the synth from the dreaded battery issues (just maybe in time, and it still boots ok). So I happened to be searching yahoo groups and have just joined up with this one! I've also got the Legacy P6/Monopoly plug-in and have been trying to match up patches with knob settings and it's not really that close (I did see a post about this). Anybody had any luck with this? I think the Legacy plug-in is really good (better in some ways) and does sound close, but it's not like the original beast. I emailed Korg tech support to see if there was a Korg P6 sys-ex to Legacy relationship (convertor?) and there isn't. Maybe in some of the other retrofits there are? Anyhow - I'm looking forward to exploring the group posts and seeing what's up. Did anyone ever see Don Muro do his Polysix demo's back in the day? He was selling (digital) cassettes of his patches at the time. cheers, -Brian
