Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

Hello everyone. I just bought a polysix > its amazing! Its my first
analog synth, what a pleasure. 

My question to you, does it matter what the level of the input signal
is on the arpeggion trigger? Im just sending in a snare sound from my
software...if its louder it seems to have an audible effect on the
tones generated from the polysix. Is there a danger of overloading or
damaging anything if I send loud signals into the synth? Thanks!
