Hi yes it seems that your spot on!! It is infact 1 dodgy ssmt 2056 chip and could there be possibly one ssmt 2044 above as it seems the working chip even swapped for the bad still is a bit muffled on that unit!! once i started removing the chips (ssmt 2056) the problem did follow!! Now I'm really desperate do you know where i could get the said chips from!??!
