hi, been down that road before. i bought a wurlitzer from canada and had to use a step up converter. it resulted in massive amounts of hum unfortunately. for some strange reason the step up converters (in finland at least) are not allowed to be grounded so i had to connect a ground wire to the water pipes of my house! a bit tedious that was, and grounding to water pipes on gigs is not that fun... :) the PSU on the moog source i have is "double wired" or whatever you call it. i have understood this is a quite common practice on mass produced electrical devices so that the company making them don't have to make different versions for shipping overseas. it was really a simple procedure, i had an electrician rewire it in 20 minutes, he just had to de-solder and re-solder two wires. /einar > I would be Inclined to get a step up converter rather than rewiring, > not that you should really have to do that, though not 100% sure >
