Hehe, I was looking at that same German eBay auction for the Polysix. I actually wrote that first question you quoted in your message. I was in contact with him a few times, this is what I understood is the problem: When playing in polyphonic mode there's a problem with one of the voices: there's a "dunpf" sound occuring periodically every 4-5 seconds. He also said he thought it might be related to the LFO somehow. In unison mode and chord mode this "dumpf" sound is not present. I was waiting for the price to drop even further (the original "buy it now" was set at 299 euros) since I would have expected a repair bill in order to get it working. But you got it!
