Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

Hello,

Tonight I attempted to change the battery in my korg polysix. I
followed the directions on the Resonant Frequency site
(http://www.hoohahrecords.com/resfreq/mods/polysix/battery.html), and
now when I turn on the synth, no sound comes out. All i hear is a bit
of weird static.

The only thing I can find which I did differently from the directions,
was that I bought a battery with a PCB mount attatched to it, and I
sodered this in before I installed the diode. I hardly see how this
could make a difference...

If anyone can offer me any advice, it would be MOST appreciated.
