I'm looking forward to an answer. My Trident MK 2 recently showed a
similar bevahiour, but then recovered somehow.

It seems to me (though I don't know exactly) that the "CPU" hangs up,
pretty much like in a nowadays PC.

But what is causing this? Is unstable power supply a likely cause?
