I've recently acquired a Korg Polysix (mk 2 with no KLM-396 board),
which was in pretty bad shape. I've changed the battery, which luckily
had barely leaked at all, and recalibrating it has gone fairly
smoothly. However, I've run into some trouble tuning it.
The problem seems to lie with VR2 on the KLM-366 board (the overall
High Freq. tuner). It doesn't cause any change in pitch when it is
turned, although having checked it with a multimeter, it appears to be
working fine. As a result, I have had to use VR11 on its own and can
never get the pitch of any oscillator lower than a top C#.
I have seen other reports of this sort of problem, although no
solution. All other controls seem to work as expected, and I have been
able to get the lower 3 octaves more or less in tune with each other,
although not to the expected pitches.
Any ideas?
