Might want to adjust the 
reset trimmer a little.  The A-D, 1-8 LEDs (and other LEDs) should all 
light up for about 1 second before setting to patch A-1.
If it sets to A1 too quickly, then the reset voltage adjustment is a bit 
too 'edgy'.
 
 
Where is it the reset trimmer located?
