OBERHEIM SYNTH

Hi I'm new to the Oberheim group and was hoping you can tell me if there are any specific controllers that will work for parameter tweaking other than the doepfer. I was hoping for something Ipad so I don't have to buy another controller. I did some research and know that the processor can only handle delayed midi messages and only certain params or it tanks. I would just like an easy way to edit not so much for a live situation.
