To my knowledge, Robert Fripp still has 2 MKII's and 4 M400's.

I believe Streetly still had the Poseidon machine and Fripp has the ITCOTCK
 machine.

Here's what I believe is the ITCOTCK machine...

Wow, that's really interesting.

Two mkIIs? I've read about them gigging w two trons. I don't know why I assumed they used one tron for their first few albums. I've been curious as to how people find/purchase mkIIs that have belonged to some big name acts. Is there some secret auctioning process/bulletin?

When I saw King Crimson in 1969 the Poseidon tron was on stage. I remember those metal handles on the side.

According to Ian McDonald, they actually wound up with THREE on that tour. When Crimson appeared at Electric Playground (I believe) in Chicago, there was a suspicious overnight fire of unknown origin, and one of the MkIIs (or possibly both) got an unexpected bath. They managed to dry it out with hair dryers, but another was hastily dispatched from the UK in case it was needed. Ian thinks this is the MkII that eventually wound up in the hands of Genesis.

No, this was more than likely an insurance fire. The MkII just got caught in the crossfire.

That was the Electric Theater AKA The Kinetic Playground, owned by Aaron Russo,
who later was Bette Midlers manager. This was the old Michael Todd theater. The
seats were taken out, floor leveled, and theater screens were placed from
ceiling to 8 feet off the floor creating a circular room. A projection booth
called the eye was installed in the center of the ceiling (accessed from the
floor above) which projected a Filmore type lightshow around the entire room.
The stage sat against one wall. Nefarious activity as the cause of the fire was
the rumor at the time.

I hung out there...saw all sorts of shows....Jeff Beck with Rod Stewart singing,
Jefferson Airplane, Zep (first Chicago performance), Iron Butterfly, T Rex on
and on and on.........

When it burned all the activity moved two blocks east to the Aragon Ballroom
where I worked for a year.

Under the heading of "Is somebody copying all this down?"

At the Aragon the spring after the fire at the Electric Theater, I worked back
stage at a "Festival" show that featured
The Litter
Bob Seeger System
Pacific Gas and Electric
Flying Burrito Brothers
The Stooges
Rotary Connection
Alice Cooper
The MC5
and several more bads that memory has dimmed...................(remember it was
just after the 60's)
This show was filmed. I remember speaking backstage with a fellow on the film
crew. Bushy hair and full beard with a strong Scottish accent. He said he had
been on the Woodstock film crew. So somewhere the film of this show is stored
waiting to be seen again.

Damn! I would do anything to see that Rotary Connection concert.I saw them at the West Palm Beach Festival in 69' (where I saw Crimson's two shows). People had no idea how good Minnie Ripperton was with RC. Loved their show.

Did nearly six weeks on that as an extra - totally invisible in the end result. :-))
Asia...With really talented people limping musically ?
Saw the first few mins of their set at the weekend, until I managed to tear myself away. ELP were nearly as good (cough).

Can Keith still even play? When I worked with him a couple of years ago his left hand was nearly shot. He could only use his thumb and first two fingers and I hear that the disease is starting to affect his right hand as well.

Funnily enough, his left hand was great, but his right was shot. Did a pretty good job, all things considered, unlike Palmer, whose fills left something to be desired. I hear Greg Lake is applying to NASA for official status as a second moon.

Every day. I know one of the girls who works in their office and ran into her earlier in the day - she said she'd been on 'ironing duty', but I refrained from mentioning tents, hot air balloons and other vast expanses of cloth.

He looks and acts the part like it was the in the 20th century.
The rest of the cast fit, in my personal opinion.
