Hey Pete:

Jonsi, who is Iclandic, sings in a made up language which is pure nonsense. To virtually anybody, it 'sounds' like an emotive language, but it is not.
Same goes with his work in Sigur Ros.
I put him/them on to trons with Streetly but MS and JB won't give me a free M4000 no how much I cry, whine, winge, lament, pout, stomp or anything.
Blast!
...and I even drink 'Abbot Ale' whenever I can find it, too.

I like it too. I find them very reminiscent of Yes.
I think if Yes started now, they'd be doing stuff like this.
And the made up language just adds to that (";Khatru" anyone?)

Jonsi is Icelandic and most Sigur Ros songs are normally sung in Icelandic or in his own made up emotive language called Hopelandic (Vonlenska). On the album Go, however, it is sung almost entirely in English (Icelenglish? :P ) This song is in English. Here are the lyrics:

(Go : Go : Go : Kitty : Kitty : Kitty)

Go sing, too loud
Make your voice break- Sing it out
Go scream, do shout
Make an earthquake...

You wish fire would die and turn colder
You wish young eyes could see you grow older
We should always know that we can do anything

Go drum, too proud
Make your hands ache - Play it out
Go march through crowds
Make your day break...

You wish silence released noisy drummers
You wish white noise surrendered to summers
We should always know that we can do everything

Go do, you'll know how to
Just let yourself, fall into landslide

Go do, you'll know how to
Just let yourself, give into flood tide

Go do!

Tie strings to clouds
Make your own lake - Let it flow
Throw seeds to sprout
Make your own break - Let them grow

Let them grow (Endless summers)
Let them grow (Endless summers)

(Go do endless summers)

You wish surprise would never stop wonders
You wish sunrise would never fall under

You wish surprise would never stop wonders
You wish sunrise would never fall under
We should always know that we can do anything

Go do!

It's more like that loony from Magma who made up a language to tell a (somewhat thin) sci-fi story.

Anderson didn't make up a language, but he just abominated an existing one with vile acts of sodomy.

'Ten True Summers' reeks more than 'Khatru' any day of the week.

Klingon is respectful and honourable, but don't you have to be drug addled, disaffected, suicidal, a part-time moron, and have a love of narcissistic whores to speak Kobaiin?

Daniel,
Thank you for explaining that to me.I can't believe Streetly would act
