The best Mellotron sound live without a Mellotron!

The best Mellotron sound live without a Mellotron!

I know it's a bit of a cheat, but I have to say Roger King's sampled tron
on "Fly on a Windshield" from Steve Hackett's "Once Above a Time" DVD is
marvellous! Really sends the shivers down my spine. (You know it's good when
that happens!)

You mean "Grey Seal" from Yellow Brick Road. I may be off, but I think
that's the best track from the album.

Right. Grey seal. Great song, bad mellotron.

The extra track version (sans 'tron) from the eponymous Elton John album is
my 12 yo son's favorite Elton John song..I like both versions.

That's no dog! That's our Andy!!

Whatever dog I am, it's obviously a bearded breed!
Actually Frank, the other one is a Border Collie. Poor Bob's long gone now
sadly.

Thanks for clearing that up, Andy. I thought it was you but Rick got me
confused.

Frank. Don't worry.
I've been confused for years!
And to prove it... OK, I'm going to say it.... Ready?

OK, I admit that I loved the tron on the original Six Wives album, so
there!

Actually, I've just realised I've crossed topics from my original RW post,
but given the subject here, there are those who may think that Six Wives
is perfectly at home here.
I'll get my coat....

I say we all chip in and buy Andy a cape for Halloween.

I like Six Wives too, but I'll never admit it to anyone else.
