$350 is a good price for this if you are close to Glen Cove, NY.

Can you send it back to the UK for a free refill?

Since all M4000s come with one, I can't see the value in buying it and
shipping it over to be filled and returned. My old M-400 flight case lid did
double duty at a work table base when not needed.

I thought the M4000 flight case was an option.

An M4000 flight case is always an option. So is basic black, as is tossing it all when you don't have much of a poker hand. Of course, if offered cheese and crackers or an M4000 flight case, opt for the former -- unless you have excellent digestion. I have heard from Martinge that they're quite good with lashings of hot sauce.

I think it's only optional on the M5000. My guess is that few people will
order one though. . I would think that ordering the flight case is the
least expensive way to pack an M4000 for overseas shipping, and I believe I
recall Martin saying that that is the only way they wish to ship them... in
the flight case. Let's ask Martin.

Jimmy,

Had one a while ago but it went bad. I had to have it put down.

Rick

PS But if you're serious, get in touch with Craig Collett at Col
Audio. He has a guy who makes very, very nice cases at a good price.
