Chris Squire???

Chris Squire???

2009-02-18 by Jon

I saw a brief announcement the other day that the Yes "In the Present" tour had been canceled for at least several weeks for health reasons, and I just now read a report that Chris had a blood clot problem of some sort. Any info out there?

From yesworld.com:

Due to unforeseen medical reasons, the “In The Present Tour,” featuring Yes’
Steve Howe, Chris Squire, and Alan White is cancelling shows through
February 24 (San Diego).
The band wishes to apologize for any inconvenience that this might have
caused to their fans and hopes to see them again soon.

This, from auralmoon.com:

Alan White was on KZOK in Seattle this morning. He can't comment on what
happened or who was involved for legal reasons. But he did say that the member
involved was built like an ox so that tells you who it is. He said it was a
potentially life-threatening thing that required immediate surgery and that he
should make a complete recovery.
He also couldn't comment on when these shows would be rescheduled. He did
say they will be doing some open air shows this summer with Asia opening up for
them. Steve Howe will be pulling double duty. So that's something to look
forward too.

He required surgery on his leg due to a blood clot.

Clearly not enough Guinness in his diet.
