Epitaph cover version

Epitaph cover version

2014-08-26 by Andy Kinch

Finally finished this labour of love. Something I've always wanted to do if time and opportunity allowed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0rRcczwBWc

All me, so no-one else to blame! Lol.

Kept to the original arrangement as much as talent allowed, if nothing else, to see how far I could take the keyboards I had available in

reproducing the "real" performances of the day.

Piano/ Organ. Nord Electro 3
Bass. Roland XP10
Minimoog Voyager.
Moog Taurus 1
M400. Mk2 3 violins. Mixed Brass B.
Everything else M4000D.
Acoustic Guitar. Acoustic Guitar.

Drums. EZ Drummer.

Various synth/ perc loops.

Hope you like.

Best to all.

Re: [newmellotrongroup] Epitaph cover version

No fancy stuff Fritz. A freebie Voxengo Tube Amp Plug in, and the cheap but wonderful Valhalla Room Reverb. The Tube Amp allowed me to

dial in what I thought was just the right amount of distortion and drive.

I D/I'd the tron directly into the computer via a Steinberg MI2 sound box, using a very early version of Cubase LE, which I'll probably have to

update when I eventually have to change to Windows 7 from XP which is currently stable and working great. Grrr!

Note. Because I was having motor problems for a while, I did try some of the lead tron parts on the 4000D initially, but I replaced with the

m400 because the sound of the machine simply had more bite to it. Thanks Martin and John btw for a great job replacing the motor for me.

It was a joy to do.

Cheers.

Thanks for the info! I absolutely LOVE the Valhalla Room reverb. For an algorithmic verb, it can't be beat. I use Valhalla Shimmer a lot for the crazy shit.

Again, great work.
