The Mellotron Group

Inside doesn't look too bad, looks like it's been upgraded, odd looking pitch control knob, got the red cap. 5 or 6 tapes not sounding? Even for a mellotron and I don't think that could be described as working! If I had a spare $2500 dollars it wouldn't be going here. Is this the same one that was up a few weeks ago? Are you going to bid Clay?

It looks like the same one, same ad.  The seller didn't even try to improve the description.  Same starting bid too, it should be about $700 lower.

It looks like the pad and roller screws are all the way in.  That can't be good.

I think this is indicative of how little people who owned/played them,  
understood how the worked. Some of the strange mods I've seen... evidently to  
solve the simplest of problems, have always amazed me.
