OT: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

OT: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

2011-09-15 by Sean

I just found out that there's an annual bluegrass festival in San Francisco coming up in three weekends. It's free, and it seems like everyone in bluegrass, and some people not, like... buckethead, are going to be there performing.

I'm really trying to make arrangements to go, at least for Friday the 30th, since both Seldom Scene and Del McCoury Band are performing that day.

Anyone else planning, or thinking of going?

What a great line-up! I wish I was going for all three days!

For Fritz........

Seeing Chris Thile on Sunday in Sheffield. What superb musician and showman. Class at it's very best.

That should be a great show. I caught Jerry Douglas not too long ago at BB King's in Times Square and he and his band blew me away. He's on another planet like Mr. Thile.
