Re: [newmellotrongroup] Re: King Crimson's Mk2 Trons

Hi-
Listened to the track "Who Are You Now". Sounds like there might be a tron high in the background. Suprisingly, it's a better track than I expected (or remembered). A Moodies' leftover maybe?
Hey Frank, which Ray Thomas album do you refer to?

Hi again-
Oh, yeah, "Songwrighter" , "The Promise", Lodge's "Natural Avenue" were all pretty bad. Didn't hear any of Ray Thomas' or Graeme Edge's stuff.
I liked the cover art on "The Promise", using colors produced from polarized light through crystals to produce a stained-glass look.

Not that ANY of them were great, but actually, and surprisingly, IMHO, Ray's is the best of the lot. Natural Avenue got 1 listen shortly after its release before being put back into its slip cover where it's remained since then. Is there anyone on the list who actually has a copy of Edge's stuff (provided they didn't burn it upon 1st listening)?

BTW, I swear that there is Mellotron on "Who Are You Now" from Blue Jays.

That's why I was listening to the blasted thing - I was told there was some on that track, but I can't hear it! Interesting life I lead...
