It's been a while since we've talked about favourite mellotron tracks and mine are quite different from a few years ago, in no particular order:

Moody Blues: Portrait of a mind, Candle of life
BJH: Mocking Bird and She Said from BJH Live and Dark now my sky from the BBC live concert ( I never liked the sound of the tron in the studio )
The Pretty Things: Baron Saturday
Camel: Never Let Go
Jethro Tull The Witch's Promise
The Strawbs: Grave New World
Genesis: Seven Stones
King Crimson: Epitaph ( still! although I have pretty much fallen out of love with most of their stuff )

I suppose Mocking Bird and She Said would still be my favourites, but if the BBC hadn't wiped the tape of BJH doing "The Poet" for John Peel with mellotron and recorder, I think that might be the one, it's over 40 years since I heard it, so can't be sure.
