$2500 for me would not include other than minor exterior work. It would not 
 include a complete repair and repaint. Part costs have gone up as well.

I was going to say $1500 at most, assuming it will need about  $2500 in 
repairs/restoration to make it like new. $4000 total for a like new  M400 is 
probably a bargain, so maybe $1800 to $2000 is more reasonable  considering 
today's market.
