Gary, One of my bands used the AMT1's for the highs; 2 on each side with no crossover, powered by Phase Linear amps. They went up to 22,000 Hz. Were your Heils the transmission line variety or did they have front-facing woofers? The Magnaplaners had a really nice, open sound, but they were a little lacking in highs and lows. A friend had a pair that he teamed up with a pair of Heil transmission lines, powered by a Phase Linear for the top and bottom ends.
