Another good guess. That wasn't a goof. I wasn't to that point  yet. There 
is an ovious assembly mistake in the first photo.

Nope, but you're getting close. The clips are not  required for the machine 
to operate correctly.

Hint: Something in the first  picture is wrong. If  you don't look at a 400 a 
lot, you'll not likely  see it. I'm sure Martin saw it right away. It  was 
not critical, but the machine could not work  correctly as is  was.


Well, it certainly wouldn't produce much of a  signal without the  
headblock!
