The 5th tune on Systems Theory "Codetalkers" is "Sohacahtoa", which deals with advanced mathematics leaning to the "angels dancing on the head of a pin" kind, viewed through a 21st century prog-rock lens. Written originally by me, it incorporates a horn-driven midsection lifted and modified from Greg Amov's "Tail Wags Dog" (on his 2nd solo CD "Gecko Highway"), retooled, polished, and brought to mellotron-rock excellence by Mike Dickson. One of my favourites of our catalog. With that in mind, check out this cartoon of three atomic boffins in 1945. It was sent to me last night by Mike, and -- as we approach the 1st anniversary of Greg's passing -- it made me laugh at how well it captures (a) how this tune was produced passed from hand to hand to hand for ever increasing layers of 'top that' and 'how about this', and (b) how Systems Theory worked a lot of the time. I think of the three uber-nerds L to R as Steven, Mike and Greg. YMMV on who is who. ;-) <http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/los_alamos.png> -- Cheers, SDM -- a 21st Century Schizoid Man Systems Theory project website: http://systemstheory.net find us on MySpace, GarageBand, Reverb Nation, Last FM, CDBaby free MP3s of Systems Theory, Mike Dickson & Greg Amov music at http://mikedickson.org.uk
