If you need a low cost ARM7 with external memory controller, Oki have 
similar parts to Philips that do support external Flash, SRAM, Memory 
mapped I/O and SDRAM. These parts are in full production and cost 
around the same or less that the Philips. see okisemi.com/us

I understand the LPC2212/2214 is due for formal announcement any time now.
It has an external memory controller in addition to the current perpherials
all housed in an LQFP-144 pckage.  Internal RAM is 16K, flash is 128/256K.
