OT postings in the main list

2001-06-11 by Zeek Duff

First, I apoplogize for the tenor of my rant in the main list and hope
only that the level of frustration came through, clearly. It's hard
enough to wade through on topic posts that have nothing to do with
equipment configurations I know or care about to find some useful
information, or to be of help to someone with a configuration similar to
mine. However, THIS list is the place for all of the religious
frustration and other irrelevant to anything garbage that's permeated
the list of late. It's also interesting to note that so far, only two
people have choosen to respond with anything but the chastizing of my
delivery, both on the main list, not here. I wonder if the morons that
continue the bullshit have any clue that this list exists..?

Anyway, it's good to see that the last few digest have been much more on
topic.

Now, if we could just get our bozofied president "on topic." ;)

Regards,
...z

my career so far that would be worth sharing with you, it would be two
things. Number one: As you go into your musical careers, people will try
to refocus you on their goals and their artistic aspirations. And it's
always best to stay focused on your own. It's the only shortcut that
really is available. And Number two: The blues. Playing the blues. Play
the blues -- it works over everything." Dr. Walter Becker

Ok, apology accepted, :-). I can understand the frustration. That's one of the reasons why I read the LUG mail only on the web; the digests became very big and unreadable.

At least this moron got the hint not to continue the thread, :-). It takes to much energy to start a public war. Just discuss items is much more educational to me.

I still don't think you can lump everyone together and label them morons
just because you disagree with some people's ideas about what is OT, when OT
is acceptable and whether or not OT has any place at all on the Logic list.
I sometimes make joke remarks and place OT postings there but I wouldn't
call myself a moron. Actually I'm quite intelligent really...most of the
time.

And anyway, you far surpassed anything previously said with your very loud
expletives etc. You can't have it both ways. You reacted on the list the
same as others had done before you. The reason why you reacted has nothing
to do with anything. This isn't a rant, I just feel you (and sometimes
others) need to be a bit less hypocritical sometimes and certainly have a
bit more consideration when exploding with bad language.

Yes, probably agree, but I don't really monitor it that closely. If it looks
interesting (whether on topic or not) I read it. If it doesn't I don't.
