[OT] Show tools through second mouse button

[OT] Show tools through second mouse button

2004-02-04 by Alberto

Let's see if I can explain myself... I use the second mouse button to
access all the logic tools, but in order to do this I have to assign in
key commands one key (comma in my example) to "show tools", and then
assign in the mouse driver preferences (logitech preferences in my
example) the second button to the "comma" key...this works fine with
logic , but then I loose the funcionality of the mouse second button
with the system, i.e. the contextual menu...there's another way to get
the "show tools" command? Or ... there's any possibility to get both
funcionalities?

Some mouse-software (like my Wacom Graphire software) allows
assignment on a per-application basis. If yours does, then you can
assign comma to right-click in Logic, but keep control-click
(contextual menu) for other applications.

If your software doesn't allows for such flexibility, you might want
to check out usb-overdrive, which I've heard people being very
enthusiastic about.
