Absynth

Anyone got Absynth PC yet? Any issues with LAWP 5.0? And how does
absynth compare to the (as yet still unreleased - only 12 months
late!!) ES2?

Hi,

Got both.....just on a Mac but I'll briefly say as a cheapo analogy that
that's like comparing a Triton to a Nordlead..;-)
To great pieces of software though..

Hmmm... Not having either of those synths, I don't quite get it...
They are each good for different things, but could you contrast
what you think their strengths and weaknesses are?

Thanks, smeet

In short they are indeed very different.
D-load a demo when you have a sec..

Like I said, in an attempt to be brief....Absynth has some
relatives in the Korg...wavestation/ Triton school where the
ES 2 is deeper in synthesis in ways of something like a Nordlead,
Virus or similar..to give you a very rough idea....
You have to hear it yourself...and mind you sometimes people
who are better at programming / Sound Design than myself
will squeese blood from a stone....so the usual YMMV is ever present..
