Make a track for the mixer-object. Its the easiest way to work. Then
select that track, record and move the faders. Then go to arrange again
and select "hyperdraw". If I'm not mistaken, Logic will choose the last
used controller, and then you can edit and draw lines etc... I use it
all the time. To make it more fun: assign key commands for all possible
hyperdraw things: "normal" hyperdraw, hyperdraw "other controller" (or
something like that) etc etc... and also some key commands for zooming
into one track. Works like a charm.

Do the same as mentioned above: just move the appropriate knobs/faders
and when recording on the mixer object track. Everything will be
recorded. You don't have to assign anything at all.
