Well, I did the work, and here's my summary.
Cool!
Maybe not as mind- (or speaker-) blowing as I expected, but definitely
usable, and definitely worth doing.
There are two hand-drawn diagrams in the photos section (inside the Folder
in the first entry). I used the simpler one, labelled "Schematic", but
found that it didn't actually do anything. So then I followed the one
labelled MoogSlayer, which has the earth and +ve connections, and this one
works. Apart from the extra connections, the wires from VR2 are reversed,
as are the ones on VR5. This would make a difference!
There is one slightly confusing point, and that is the specification of a
"470-510 ohm" resistor in the connection to +ve power. Why is it a range??
I used 470 ohm, maybe the effect would be different if I used 510?
Anyway, I've found that (as mentioned in somebody else's post) the cutoff
and resonance settings (particularly the res) in the preset patch set the
limits of operation for the new pots, so if you want to tweak the pots, the
first thing you need to do is increase the parameters to give you more to
play with.
But they're good for just changing the tone as well, for example to
brighten up the pianos, just increase the cutoff.
