help, pleasee!!

I can't load my poly 800 with preset sound tape...why? I did it 10 time
before with the same tape with the same hi fi...Before the problem was also
that the synth deleted all its preset sounds after a car trip...
I need my poly...between 2 weeks I'm going to start my tour in Italy...

Try cleaning your Tape Heads......they get clogged with Oxides off the Tape....

and or De-Magnetize the heads on the Tape Deck......Also Tapes do get damaged by being placed close to SPEAKER magnets...! If you do Gigs in various places, then

its quite likely to occur.....and then there is the usual wear-an-tear Tapes do get

and lose their readback strength over time and usage.......etc, etc, blah, blah

I wouldn't trust the Poly 800 for live gigging unless i have a tape machine set up on stage...

Anyway it is recommended to keep fresh batteries inside the unit all the time (in the MK1 anyway)

if you want it to remember the presets...

The tape could very well be worn or damaged. Try either loading the
sounds from one of the wav files in the files section of this group,
or making new tapes from the wav files.
