Testimonials needed...

Testimonials needed...

2016-08-31 by Michael Hawkins

Hi Poly fans,

for those of you that have the HAWK-800 or HAWK-800 and AtomaHawk, I need some testimonials.

Please send me one or ten or whatever sentences telling the world how great they are. Try to keep them short and simple and perhaps mention something specific that you like about the mod.

Any contribution will be much appreciated.

Believe it or not, I am actually going to launch a proper HAWK-800 website.

Cheers all!

Oh and if you have any demo tracks that showcase the HAWK-800 or AtomaHawk anywhere on the Internet, please send me the link so I can put those on the new pages too!

2nd cheers!

/Mike

This is my Demo video......

Now that I watch it again.. I wish i did things a little different....Like use the sequencer....

The first half is kind of vanilla sounds, and the 2nd half is more extended parameters...... So, it pays off to watch all the way through the boring stuff at the beginning......... ughh...

By the way, just recently the lower octave stopped working my Poly-800.  I can trigger it (lower octave sounds) through another keyboard's midi, So I'm not totally distraught.

I also need help with the sequencer.  Honestly, I've never used it. I don't know how.

 Peace,

That's a demo, not a testimonial.

I have a page for demo's and it already includes yours! What I need is a couple of sentences why you like the HAWK or AtomaHawk.

Midi cc mapping is absolutely indispensable and turns this from a toy into a viable studio synth. The expanded menu system is quite awesome too!

I sold my modded P800 mk1 and missed the sound so much that I picked up an EX-800. Recently ordered my second Hawk-800 kit, can't wait!

I would also like to add that never having to worry about a dead battery again is a step into the 21st century!

Sounds like you might have sequencer follow mode enabled. Check 37 GL xx - Sequencer note follow mode
xx - 0=off, 1=keyboard, 2=keyboard and MIDI operation
When the sequencer is playing, it is possible to have the sequencer shift keys within a one octave
range to match the last note played on the keyboard (or received from MIDI). This feature only
-13-applies to notes played on the lowest octave of the keyboard. All notes played above the lowest
keyboard do not change the sequencer key.

Set GL 37 to zero and see if you get your lower octave back.
