Korg Poly800/EX800 Users

Ok.. after hours of beating my head against the keys and screen, I think I have something for you all to try out on your HAWKs, if you are interested...

Here's a link to a small vid of it gating the volume and at the same time sweeping the filter.  I am having issues capturing vid and audio at the same time.. I could not get it to record FX or drums while capturing video, hence the Soundcloud clip.

Hopefully it will load ok into any DAW.  I have tried it on FL Studio and Live.
Be sure to setup your MIDI Input/Output and in the Output section, set "MIDI Thru" to :
  "PlugIn Host -> Output Device"

Give it a go.. get the Digital 7 font here if you don't have it.  it makes the GUI look better

If you try it out and get it going, then please post how well it does or does not work for you.
This is just a beta/test file.  It has a ton of work yet to do...
I will try to help iron out any issues you might have.

This is exciting! I can confirm that it loads into Reaper. I can't fully test it's functionality right this second, but I'll report back as soon as I'm able. Thanks Blaine!!!

I think it's 64 bit.. really not sure Manu. Snugglepussyisme, what bit mode is your Reaper running in when you loaded it? I've ran it in FL Studio. The app that creates the plugin was running in 64bit mode when I saved the DLL file. I'll have to check more into this... I may have to make two files. A 32bit and 64 bit version if people have bridging issues.

This looks awesome, if I wasn't on a Mac, I'd test it. Good luck!

I'm running it on 64 bit Reaper.

So this version is indeed 64bit only.
I noticed FL Studio was bridging the Plugin when it loaded. (FL 11.1 is a 32bit DAW that uses a 64bit bridge to run 64bit Plugins).

The Live 9 I have is 64bit only.  I dont have a bridge in place for it.  So it can only load 64bit Plugins.
When Live opens up on my PC, it scans for Plugins and it could tell the difference between 64bit dll's from 32bit dll's.  It will not allow me to load or even see 32bit dll's.


I will try to make one of each and repost them for download (named accordingly 32/64bit).

Hey Blain. I've finally had a chance to mess around with the plugin this evening. I'm successfully communicating with my Hawk via the VST in Reaper 64bit! As expected, there are some bugs. Here are the prominent ones I've noticed:

I'm not quite sure what is happening on your end by your descriptions..

The mouse and keyboard?  Do you mean the virtual keyboard or your actual keyboard controller?

You say you turn one knob  and ALL knobs turn??  How very odd..

I have to complete the script that loads the parameter settings.  Only the upper param's are working at the moment.  I also need to add in TomaHawk controls eventually.


I will see if I can get a Reaper instance on my PC to test the plugin on my end and see if I have similar results.
What version of Reaper are you using?

Sorry for anyone else who is on a Mac.  i dont have a Mac to do the conversion on.. but there may be a way for me to send a file over to a Mac user and I can guide them to create a Plugin for Macs..  it'll be down the road though.

It's the virtual keyboard within the plugin, not a controller.

I'm using the most recent version of Reaper 64bit, running in Windows 7. The great thing about Reaper is that the full version is absolutely free to try. Let me know if I can be of any more assistance!
