Paraphonic powersupplies on deserted islands..

Paraphonic powersupplies on deserted islands..

2013-08-22 by <bperkins211@...>

Wow, Lotsa activity on the board today..

AFAIK, power supplies are rated for safety vs. actual output.
If it's too small and it isnt fuse protected, it will try to meet the needs.. if it exceeds its rating far too much, it simply burns up/catches fire until it burns itself open and no longer supplies power.
IE, it is rated at it's maximum output that is thermally "safe".

My solution to the weak oscillators is to inject a different synth's signal into the filter and synch the filter trigger with the controller keyboard.
I would focus more on mixing signals into the Poly vs. trying to build a new oscillator bank for it.
Seems like the more simple and direct route.

I've said it before, but I'd rather see an extra filter modded in somehow and split signals.  I think that would be interesting if you could say, filter the noise separate from the DCO's..

As far as deserted islands go.. give me a tiny under rated power supply that I can use to start a fire.. (after I find a 120v outlet...)

Then give me like an Oberheim OB-8 synth.  Not to play.. but to gut it and make a boat out of it to get off the freaking island!

I would recommend Yamaha CS80 for this purpose, its wooden box will be perfect as a boat. Buy two or three to make catamaran :-) And send me all guts please...

Nothing I've tried appears to read it as anything other than pure HTML, which is being sent with the wrong mimetype.
