korg poly 800 sequencer problems

Hello, and thank you for welcoming me into your group. It's awesome that you've made it, as it is hard to find good info on these synths.
I wanted to ask a question about my poly 800's sequencer.. I recently had to reload the factory sounds to the synth (i did this via wav file and my computer) because I did the battery mod and lost the sounds. I have also performed the "moog slayer", FM, and 12/24 db switch mods to my synth. anyway, the problem I'm having is this: when I start the sequencer on (seemingly) any of the patches, it will run just fine for about 1-2 mins. and then it will make a "crash" noise and begins sequencing a high frequency. any help you might be able to lend me would be so very much appreciated. I can also send you a video clip of exactly whats happnin'.
