Hi all,
I seem to remember someone mentioning using an encoder instead of the up/down buttons. It may be possible to use this module but I haven't tried it myself. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone was interested. I think the outputs would be connected
across the switch contacts.
Martin.

Funny you bring this up, I was working on the protoboard for this mod last night.
I have been working on it here and there recently.. I may have an actual working board by this weekend (if I can just get a full day of uninterrupted work on it).
The board uses simple components.. a 7414 Hex Schmidt trigger, 7474 Dual D Flip Flop and a 4066 quad bilat. switch.. that and two .1 uF Electro. Caps and two 1k Resistors.
Add a quality 24ppr encoder to the board and solder the wires to the Korg in about 8 solder joints.
It will make the data value go up/down and the push in switch will activate the program/edit switch.. that way you can select your patch with the encoder, press the encoder in and you are in edit mode P1.. press again and you are in P2.. press again and you
are back to patch selection.
I'm close to done.. really close!
Keep an eye on the board here.. I'll be posting a vid of it in action when it's all done and looks like it actually came from Korg with the dial on it. ;)
And yes, it should work on a Poly 61 and many other synths that have UP/DOWN buttons as well.. they all work on same/similar electronic/MPU designs.
