Distorted sound from Poly 800 mk1

Hi everyone!
I am getting a distorted sound from my Poly 800, when I turn the Chorus parameter to 0 it is getting much better but the signal is still distorted.
anyone know how to fix this?
this is the model without backup battery inside.
