Headphone Jack EX-800

Headphone Jack EX-800

2011-01-28 by mtwittey

Hi All,

I think the headphone jack is shot on my EX-800. Pardon the dumb question, I'm an electronics noob, where can get a replacement? Any tricks to replacing a headphone jack?

Mike

Sure this is a mechanical problem? Headphone jack is soldered in, directly on the mainboard, if it does not seem to be loose when you move the inserted plug a bit it may be a more electronical problem. Replacement could be done by everyone capable of handling a soldering iron, but I think it is better to locate the real error first:)

Good point. I will open it up and do a visual inspection of the connections.
