New YouTube video of the HAWK-800 and AtomaHawk

New YouTube video of the HAWK-800 and AtomaHawk

2009-01-26 by korgpolyex800

Well, it's way too quiet around here.

So I just spent most of the weekend toying with the Poly-800 MK1 and
Ex-800 HAWK-800/AtomaHawk upgraded synths.

I knocked together a demo video. It's not the best quality audio (I
still haven't worked out all the codec and compression kinks yet).
But, it might interest some of you to hear.

You'll want to hear it in stereo so here's the stereo link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s36VDjadaTc&fmt=18

The &fmt=18 at the end is what makes it play in stereo.

Feel free to let me know how bad it is (yes, the noise is because of
the compression codec I used but I figured the music was bad enough
that the noise doesn't detract from it very much - hahaha!)

Enjoy!

Mike.

Awesome sounds!!! Love the long pitch bend. Portamento?

I'm just finishing up for the day. I was working on a spreadsheet for
the Poly-800II so I could enter all the values to or from the EX-800.
Maybe someday I can make a program to convert the sysex from one to
the other.

Great job with the video. The music wasn't that bad either.

Hi Fran,

That's not long pitch bend. That's EG3 modulating DCO pitch! You can route EG3 to DCO and invert it too.

Extended 35 – DCO EG invert
Extended 36 – DCO EG depth

It took me almost four days to put that dang 6 minute video together. So once again, I have renewed respect for all those sound engineers out there.

But thanks for props for the music.

Mike.
