Joystick constantly sending CC's
2009-01-17 by Michael Hawkins
Mark,
My wife is more correct than me and more often so I've learned to keep my mouth shut and listen more often before opening my over opinionated mouth.
But for this one I just have to jump in and no disrespect intended to Fran here but...
I find it virtually impossible to believe that changing any of the switches on the back of the Poly would make any difference to the joystick sending CC's.
What is more common are two things.
i) the joystick pots are old and dirty and are "noisy" as a result. A good spray with "dexoit" or some other electrical contact cleaner will help there.
ii) the joystick adjustment pots have been twiddled with by somebody and now they are out of adjustment.
iii) the joystick electronics has drifted over the years and so they are out of adjustment.
Usually, it's point 1, sometimes points 2 or 3.
Mike.
