First Successful AtomaHawk and Hawk800 Installation

First Successful AtomaHawk and Hawk800 Installation

2008-11-26 by altusmirai

Hey Guys! (and nice to see Fran here, remember my TX81z v1.6 ROM? :)

I am happy to report I took personal delivery of AtomaHawk from the
Hawkings' own hands yesterday and successfully installed it together
with the Hawk800 kit in my EX-800.

(Warning: These are full-resolution photographs at 4MB. I kept them
big so you can zoom in and scour the details.)

Mike is a madman in a wizard hat. Kudos to him for accomplishing this!!

It booted on first power-up and I got it to play right after the
install, but will take my Hawked EX-800 for a serious spin tonight.

Cheers,
Serge

cool... seeing it done gives me confidence that this can be made into a 1U
rack-mount.

Hi Serge,

Try to see if it will pull over 1G in the turns... He, he.

Great to see you're still poking around in everything. I really
appreciate the pics 'cause now I get to see the EX-800 with the
AtomHawk kit ready to fly. Great job dressing and soldering!!!
Everything is so neat and the grey cabling looks like it's factory.

I'm nominating Mike for the head of the Wizard's Guild.

How's she fly? Fran
