HAWK-800 new software revision (v1.7) released

HAWK-800 new software revision (v1.7) released

2008-11-15 by korgpolyex800

Hi friends,

A new software revision is now available for the HAWK-800. You can get
the latest files and manuals etc from:

http://patrioticduo.tripod.com/hawk800/techsupport.html

This revision corrects a couple of bugs and includes two new but
important features.

The most important bug fix was actually a Korg bug that I just
discovered in their MIDI implementation.

With that bug fixed, the MIDI implementation is much more reliable and
especially so when the Poly-800 is over run by MIDI messages.

The new feature is MIDI NRPN controller support for parameter changes.
See the MIDI implementation chart for a description of the NRPN support.

The user manual also details global parameter 16 which is the NRPN
MSB. This allows you to assign a specific MSB for NRPN device specific
support.

The other nice feature added is 7 bit resolution of the VCF resonance
controller. It was originaly only 4 bits so now you can use your MIDI
controller for much more finely controlled VCF resonance.

Enjoy!

Mike.
