I think that's the "Noise of Art" patch but without getting out my MarkII I don't remember what it sounded like. What does your Poly do when it crashes? I've played around with mine quite a bit and I can't ever remember crashing it. I've had it lose its memory after sitting for a while but that's about it for BS. If this is repeatable I can try loading up the factory patches and see if I can duplicate your symptoms. --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, "mark" <freqspec@...> wrote: > > Ive just loaded factory sysex on my poly 800mk2 and when i use prog:66

Are you sure it wasn't patch 666? --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, "narfman96" <narfman96@...> wrote:

It's a major reason I was excited about the Hawk-800 mod, in fact. I was never able to use either my P- 800 or EX-800 under sequencer control, because it would periodically crash. Not only that, when it did crash, it would overwrite parts of the memory with random data, so I'd end up losing all my patches. Happily, after installing the mod, it seems perfectly stable, AND I can now tweak parameters from my XStation controller while it plays, which is a bit of a revelation! a|x

I didn't realise that happened with the Mk.II version too. Seems fine with the Hawk mod though, as I guess the mod handles all the MIDI communication stuff. a|x

yeah ive got a mk2 and when i shut down logic pro sequencer the other day it sent a large amount of data to it and dumped all the memory. still its so easy
