poly 800 sequencing

poly 800 sequencing

2008-08-19 by dave han

Hey gang, i'm trying to figure out if there's any possible way i can program multiple sequences into my poly 800. Is that even a possibility???

The original Poly 800 and EX 800 only allow the recording and playback of one sequence.

I don't have any plans to improve the existing sequencer or expanding upon it because there are just too many easier and better ways of sequencing but I think an arpeggiator is not only feasible but also useful. So I am in the planning stages of implementing an arp into the HAWK-800 upgrade.

Mike.

Really?!? i guess it wasn't really made for live performance unless you're playing only one song (or are really fast at programming the next song/ sequence in between songs on stage). i'm pretty surprised that the product development folks at korg never thought of that. unbelieveable...

check out the release date of the 800! at the time, it was impressive that
they packed a sequencer into it, even if it is laughably weak by modern
standards. there's a guitar shop i used to visit, and they had a korg
poster with the guys from duran-duran standing behind a poly-800!

LOL ... or behind multiple ones, because they usually do more than one song for every show :)
