this thing is very cool now. i cant wait for more stuff to be
implemented! my midi fader is now controlling my ex-800 cutoff! i
feel this was well worth the money.

do you have any of the filter mods?

how is the stepping (zipper effect) when you do that?

not that it matters... i'm sure i'll do the mk3 mod soon (and tweak my
ex800 with my pc1600x), but i am curious about how smooth (or not) that
is...

john.boys,

that's great news! You would be the second person to control your
EX-800 VCF cutoff via a MIDI controller.

Excellent!

Mike.

Any more updates on the two new HAWK-800 owner's?

2008-05-19 by korgpolyex800

john.boys, Everett,

I am very interested to get feedback from you on the kit and how all
of the features are working out for you.

I am working on an Owner's Manual to make it easier to use all of the
new features.

Also, at this point, you've probably figured out that the new extended
parameters and the global parameters are not laid out in a
particularly good order. Let me know if you have any suggestions as to
the best way to order them.

Mike.

I'm still trying to figure out the midi cc's. I can't seem to get
anything to work except cutoff frequency and level. To be honest
though, I haven't devoted too much time to really figure everything
out yet. The first day I messed with it for a few hours and had other
things to do. Please list the midi features if you have time. The
extended parameter list was great, thanks!

Everett

Everett,

So far, I've implmented only three MIDI CC's. VCF cutoff, VCF
resonance and LFO rate.

The rest are in development. I guess I better commit myself to getting
them done as soon as I can.

I'll work on the MIDI implementation data sheet too since I have
implemented single patch send and receive etc. Those are mighty useful.

Mike.

i do have the extra filter knobs and the FM mod installed, along with
audio input. the dedicated knobs are smoother, being analog. there
is a certain amount of zipper noise, but not enough to bother me.
