Slayer Mod question

Slayer Mod question

2008-03-11 by eminaramps

Hi guys,
I've got an 87 poly mk1. I used to have one of these when they first
came out along with a set of korg midi pedals, a poor man's Taurus.

Anyway, I've done the battery mod and the slayer mod.
The cutoff control works great but the resonance doesn't seem to have
any effect at all. Am I missing something? Can anyone point to a
specific sound setting in the mk1 patches that it should have an
effect on? All my wiring looks right and I checked for faults/dry
joints.

Check to make sure that you are using a patch that has a resonance
setting (parameter 42) of around 12 or 13

Ie factory patch 64 or 66

As the pot will only let you reach the maximum setting that you have
in software

Check to make sure that you are using a patch that has a resonance
setting (parameter 42) of around 12 or 13

And an EG (parameter 45) between 6 and 15 and the resonance should be
squackin'

Ie factory patch 64 or 66

As the pot will only let you reach the maximum setting that you have
in software

The resonance parameter in each patch sets the range available to the
resonance pot. You want to set the resonance parameter to 99 (or whatever
the max is... 31?) for maximum results.

Nup, no effect. Resonance is not working at all it seems. Looks like
I'll have to go back inside and check it over again.
Thanks for your help and quick replies!
