Draft version of construction and installation instructions available

Draft version of construction and installation instructions available

2008-03-01 by korgpolyex800

I've spent the day writing up the construction and installation
instructions. They're about two thirds complete.

If anyone wants to have a look at them go to
http://patrioticduo.tripod.com/korgpoly800ex800mkiii/Hawk-800-Instructions.pdf

The instructions so far cover the most critical part of the
installation which is the removal of IC29 and removal of the IC22
EPROM socket.

I would appreciate any feedback, comments or recommendations on what
I've done so far.

Mike.

A first-fast read doesn't detect anything wrong :) Easy to read and easy
to understand. Looks good to me.

Can't wait to get the real thing :) Thank you very much for your work.

Mike,
This shows the dedication you've put into this. Very well done! I like
the method you used for removing the eprom socket. Testing the synth
after doing this much work to the board is a great idea too.

I don't think we are that far from each other here in the northeast.
(Great weather, eh???) When you get this project to a level where you
feel it would not distract from your progress you can play around with
my Poly-800II. E-mail me any time you want to discuss this. You know
how much I love this stuff....
