Hi,

I think that happens to most of us poly800 users at least one time. Me too,
but I still love this machine....

There's a known problem when the 800 is connected via midi to a sequencer
software or something like that.
Scott wrote some weeks ago that it may be helpful if you filter midi events
(remove all data that couldn't be used, just leave note, vel, modulation,
and so on.)

If your data was lost without using midi I don't know about the root cause.

Anyway, you have to install your factory sounds again via data interface,
you'll find the files in this forum.

I hope you didn't loose a lot of self created sounds....

Many greetings,

Olaf

Hi,

if you have a mkII then you should only need a *.syx file.

If not, you have to try all of the wave-files, as long as you find one
that's working.
I attached one that worked for my setup (interface via PC-soundcard).
I'm sure it's the same sound patch as stored in the files section, but I had
my problems with those stored files.

But be patient! It may take some trials with different volume settings until
you get a red "Good".

Olaf

Hi,
Thank you one more time for the attached file.
I don't have the mkII. So... I'm still trying to find the right
volume setting.But I only get a red "E r r".

Still waiting for the red "Good"
