Which pots for VR2 and VR5?

Which pots for VR2 and VR5?

2007-01-12 by hjulskov

Hi I have "Moog-slaughtered" my EX-800 -and it works perfect.
But I would like to add a switch for "original/MoogSlayer". And
therefore I need to know which pot (10KB / 100KB) goes to VR2/VR5 -anyone?

Thanks in advance,
Hjulskov

Hey Hjulskov,

The VRs vary from Poly to Poly since these babies where all made
rather individually by then. If you open the case you can see numbers
printed on the surface of these white caps that cover the VR. These
numbers are equal to the value of the VR thus you can take a pot of
the same value to replace it.
Likely you'll see a "b" printed before or after the number on the cap.
This stands for logarhythmical or linear - I don't know which anymore
'cause it's years that I did this mod to my old Poly - but the guy at
the electronic parts shop next door will tell you. Take pots of the
same kind as printed on the cap.

Have fun with your synth - unknown soundspheres will open. Cheers!
