Korg Poly800/EX800 Users

Hi Poly fans,

I am in the middle of disassembling the sysex section of the EX-800 code.

Does anyone have any MIDI implementation document?

Here is what I know.

I know I can request a SYSEX dump by sending F0 42 21 01 10 F7 to the
EX800.

And I also know that if I want to send a sysex dump to the EX800 then
the dump will start with f0 42 21 01 00. So it appears that the 10 or
00 determines the type of dump (01=send dump and 00=receive dump).

By the way, does anyone have any recommendation on a MIDI data send
and receiver/viewer that runs on Windows platform. Then I would be
able to send, receive and view the MIDI in hex format.

About the EX in particular or just plain midi specification? The
latter can easily be found by google.

Try Midiox.

Thanks for the tip to Midiox. I'll check it out.

I already have all the MIDI spec's themselves (an original MIDI
Specification 1.0 document too!).

I was asking the MIDI implementation question as specific to the EX-800.

In the files section of this group there is a document called P800mdk-rom-docs.pdf in the
technical section.
Is this what you are looking for ?
